Walk 5th May 2017 Rusper and the source of the River Mole

This walk was led by a member of Mole Valley Ramblers with 25 walkers and this will be reflected in the time taken to complete the route.

crosses farmland and is fairly flat, it follows the River Mole almost to its source situated in Baldhorns Copse.

There is a Nunnery

near to Nunnery Farm.

Nearby we encountered this specimen of a Dorking Cockerel. Local farmers’ wives bred the large eating birds with their distinctive fifth toe.
