Distance:- 10.3 km, 6.4 miles
Time taken:- 2 hours 13 minutes
Route:-
I started the walk at East Clandon using off street parking in Old Epsom Road. Blake's Lane is quiet and path towards Fullers Farm gradually leads up, there are good views behind you as you walk to the farm. Combe lane will have road traffic on it but is walk-able with care. West Hanger is a nature reserve West Hanger and other nearby sites have neolithic flint quarries that may be found. I was surprised when I got to Old Scotland farm to find the Tillingbourne brewery

The path will take you into varied woodland, to a field from which you will see Clandon house
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clandon_Park
a grade 1 listed Palladian mansion,
(

unfortunately suffered extensive fire damage on the 29th April 2015. The National trust will be restoring the mansion at a high cost.
To the left you'll be able to see West Clandon church a late 12th century church with medieval roofs

The Fox way crosses the main A road to Guildford and passes through Clandon Regis Golf club, the signage for the footpath at times is in need of repair to be clear the direction to take.
Returning past East Clandon church dedicated to Thomas Beckett, and dates from the 11th century

Some paths can be muddy with forestry work taking place at New Scotland farm to Old Scotland farm in the woods on the left. The paths do tend to dry out fairly quickly. Bluebells are currently out and the fields either side of the Fox way have Skylarks present.
It may be worth looking at extending this walk using some others from Fancyfree walks such as Newlands Corner, Secret woods
http://www.fancyfreewalks.org/Surrey/NewlandsCorner-Woods.pdf?version=1
and linking up with Sheepleas as possible extensions either side of the east Clandon walk
